Tena Slip Maxi are breathable and comfortable protection designed to manage heavy bouts of urinary incontinence. They are perfect for individuals managing their incontinence independently, as well as carers caring for someone with incontinence. These slips are easy to apply and stay securely in place as long as needed. A wetness indicator lets you know when it’s time to change, helping carers keep the person they care for dry, fresh, and comfortable.
Urinary incontinence is a condition where urine is passed unintentionally. It can occur for various reasons, such as medical conditions, old age, or obesity, and is more common than many people realize. There are different types of urinary incontinence, including:
Stress incontinence – Passing urine when the bladder is under pressure, e.g., during exercise, coughing, sneezing, or laughing
Urge incontinence – A strong, sudden urge to urinate followed by involuntary leakage
Overflow incontinence – Inability to completely empty the bladder, causing leakage or overflow
Total incontinence – The bladder cannot hold any urine, leading to frequent leaks or surges
Tena Slip Maxi features a highly absorbent core with Tena’s FeelDry technology, which locks away even larger amounts of fluid quickly, keeping the skin dry and comfortable. This product is dermatologically tested and uses Tena’s ConfioAir technology, making it kind to the skin and fully breathable without sacrificing effectiveness. An odour neutraliser helps reduce ammonia-related smells, keeping users fresh and dignified.
Tena Slip Maxi has an absorbency rating of 8 out of 8 on Tena’s scale and can hold up to 3950 ml of liquid, making it ideal for heavy incontinence. It is suitable for carers applying it to someone lying down or standing, and also for independent users.
These Tena Slip pants come in size medium, fitting hip sizes from 73 to 122 cm (28.5 to 48 inches). They are also available in small and large sizes.
You can apply Tena Slip Maxi whether the person is lying down or standing. Follow these steps:
Fold the pad lengthwise to form a bowl shape and position it between the legs.
Pull the front of the pad outward towards the sides of the body.
Pull the sides of the back panel forward and secure them using the tabs.
Make sure the bottom tabs point upwards, the top tabs point downwards, and the fit is snug.
