What are Sudafed Decongestant Non-Drowsy Tablets?
Sudafed Decongestant tablets are a treatment for blocked, stuffy noses. They can ease congestion caused by colds, flu, hay fever, sinusitis, and more. These tablets are non-drowsy, making them ideal if you don’t want your blocked nose to slow you down. Sudafed Decongestant could be the perfect remedy if you’re struggling with a blocked nose and need a way to clear your congestion.

How do Sudafed Decongestant Non-Drowsy Tablets work?
The active ingredient in Sudafed Decongestant Non-Drowsy Tablets is pseudoephedrine hydrochloride. Pseudoephedrine hydrochloride is a decongestant that helps reduce swelling in the blood vessels of the nose. As a result, you will have more room to breathe and less pressure in your nose and forehead.

What is the recommended dosage?
Always take Sudafed Decongestant Non-Drowsy Tablets exactly as described in the patient information leaflet or as your doctor or pharmacist has told you.
Take one Sudafed Decongestant tablet with a glass of water every 4-6 hours, up to 4 times a day.
Do not take more than 4 tablets within 24 hours.

Side Effects
Like all medicines, Sudafed Decongestant Non-Drowsy Tablets may cause side effects in some people, but these won’t affect everybody. Common side effects of this product may include:

  • Difficulty sleeping

  • Nervousness

  • Dizziness

  • Dry mouth

  • Headaches

  • Nausea

Serious Side Effects
Seek emergency medical attention if you notice any signs of a severe allergic reaction, symptoms of which include swelling of the face and throat, skin rash, breathing difficulties, and/or loss of consciousness.

Warnings
Sudafed Decongestant Non-Drowsy Tablets may be unsuitable for certain people. Do not take these tablets if you are allergic to any of the ingredients or if you have very high blood pressure or heart disease.
Talk to your doctor or pharmacist before taking this medicine if:

  • You have liver or kidney problems

  • You have diabetes

  • You have an intolerance to some sugars

  • You have an overactive thyroid gland

  • You have glaucoma

  • You have prostate problems

  • You have blocked arteries or veins

Using/Taking Other Medicines
If you are taking or have recently taken any medication, including medication obtained without a prescription, talk to your GP or pharmacist before taking this product.
You must tell your healthcare provider if you are taking the following medication:

  • Antihypertensives e.g., guanethidine, methyldopa, adrenergic neurone blockers, and beta-blockers

  • Tricyclic antidepressants

  • Anticholinergic drugs

  • Moclobemide

  • Cardiac glycosides e.g., digoxin

  • Ergot alkaloids

Age Restrictions
This product is unsuitable for anyone under 12 years old.

Pregnancy and Breastfeeding
If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, think you may be pregnant, or are planning to have a baby, you must ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking any new medicine.

Driving and Operating Machinery
This product may cause dizziness. If you are affected, do not drive or operate machinery until you feel safe enough to do so.

Storage Information
Store in a cool, dry place out of sight and reach of children. Do not use after the expiry date, referring to the last day of the month stated on the packaging. Do not throw away any medicines via wastewater or household waste.
