What is the Scholl Verruca Removal System?

The Scholl Verruca Removal System is a set of medicated discs and plasters designed to treat your verruca. These plasters are thin, flexible, and comfortable, ideal for use on the sole of your foot until your verruca is removed. The system contains everything you need to treat your verruca for up to 30 days, relieving pain while making it easier to remove.

What is a verruca?

A verruca is a type of wart that appears on the skin of the soles of your feet. It can go away by itself over time, but often causes pain when walking, with many people feeling like they are standing on a needle. Verrucae are contagious and the virus that causes them can spread from person to person via contaminated surfaces or direct contact. This is why many seek a remedy to quickly ease pain and stop the spread.

How will the Scholl Verruca Removal System treat my verruca?

The system includes medicated discs containing salicylic acid as the active ingredient. Salicylic acid gradually peels away the infected skin of your verruca, allowing it to be removed easily. The irritation caused also triggers your immune system to help heal the area.

Can I use this product if I have diabetes?

People with diabetes, circulation problems, or nerve damage should not use this product unless advised by a doctor. Irritation may go unnoticed, delaying removal of the disc and plaster and potentially causing more skin damage.

Can I use this product if I’m pregnant or breastfeeding?

If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, do not use this product. Speak to your doctor or pharmacist to find a safe alternative.

How to use this product

• Clean and dry the area around your verruca.

• Choose a disc roughly the size of your verruca to protect healthy skin.

• Remove the disc from its backing paper and apply it sticky side down onto your verruca.

• Fix a plaster over the disc to hold it in place.

• Leave the disc on for 48 hours, then carefully remove and replace with a fresh disc if needed.

• Continue treatment for up to 12 weeks or as advised by your healthcare professional until the verruca can be removed easily.

When should this product not be used?

This product is not suitable for children under 16 unless advised by a doctor. Do not use if you are allergic to salicylic acid, NSAIDs (e.g., aspirin, ibuprofen), or any other ingredients. For external use only. Stop use if you experience excessive discomfort or irritation.

Do not use this product:

• If the skin around your verruca is inflamed or broken

• On moles, birthmarks, warts with hair, genital warts, facial warts, or mucous membranes (e.g., inside nose or mouth)

• On normal, healthy skin

Does this product have any side effects?

Possible side effects include:

• Skin irritation or rash if applied to healthy skin around the verruca

How to store this product

Store below 25°C in a cool, dry place. Do not use after the expiry date. Use within 6 weeks of opening the sachet of medicated discs. Keep out of reach of children.
