Nurofen can help with a range of symptoms including:
Nurofen contains the active ingredient, ibuprofen which is used as an analgesic (painkiller) for the relief of pain and inflammation. Ibuprofen changes how the body responds to pain and can also help to reduce fever.
Always seek advice from your doctor or a pharmacist, BEFORE giving your child this product, if they are taking other medication. Do NOT give your child Nurofen Baby if they are taking

Nurofen baby can be administered to babies who are older than 3 months and weigh more than 5kg (11 pounds).
Adults can take this product, however, it is designed for children from the age of 3 months to 9 years old, so a pain relief medicine designed for adults may be more suitable. If you do take Nurofen baby as an adult, ensure you read the patient information leaflet beforehand, as there are some additional warnings that apply specifically to adults.
Always shake the bottle thoroughly before use. To remove cap: push it down and turn it anti-clockwise.
Do not give this product for more than 24 hours. If symptoms persist or worsen, consult your doctor.
One 2.5 ml dose, 3-4 times in 24 hours.
One 5 ml dose 3 times in 24 hours.
One 7.5ml (5 ml + 2.5ml) dose, 3 times in 24 hours.
OR
One 10ml (5ml + 5ml) in 24 hours.
One 10ml dose up to 3 times within 24 hours.
Leave at least 4 hours between doses. Do not use for more than 3 days. Seek advice if symptoms persist or worsen.
Do NOT give your child this product if:

Like all medicines, Nurofen Baby can cause side effects, although not everyone will experience them. The most common side effect is irritation of the stomach, which can cause problems such as indigestion and heartburn.
If your child experiences any of the following, discontinue use and seek advice from your GP immediately:

Keep this medicine out of the sight and reach of children. Do NOT use this medicine after the expiry date which is stated on the bottle label and carton. Store below 25°C. Do not throw away any medicines via wastewater or household waste. Ask your pharmacist how to throw away medicines you no longer use.
This product is a medicine; make sure to speak to your doctor or pharmacist before taking this product if you have an underlying medical problem or are taking any other medicine or complementary therapy.
