What is Cetraben Ointment?

This ointment can be used either as a cleanser or as a bath additive and is ideal for anyone who needs more hydration than what is offered with a cream or lotion.

Who is this Cetraben Ointment suitable for?

This ointment is suitable for anyone who is suffering from dry skin, eczema, or psoriasis and is looking for an effective form of treatment to reduce its effects and get the skin feeling smooth, hydrated, and protected. Anyone who is allergic to the ingredients should not use this ointment. The ingredients are:

• Soft White Paraffin
• Light Liquid Paraffin
• Cetostearyl Alcohol
• Polysorbate 60

A word of warning, paraffin is flammable and if not used properly, can cause injury. Also, make sure not to get any ointment on clothing, as it can make them more flammable.

Can children use this ointment?

Yes, this ointment is safe to use by children as well as adults.

Is it safe to use this ointment when pregnant or breastfeeding?

There is no evidence of any problems when using this ointment when pregnant or breastfeeding. Though if you are unsure, speak to a doctor before using.

How can Cetraben Ointment be used?

This ointment can be used in two ways in order to get softer, clearer skin.

• Bath additive - Melt a teaspoonful of the ointment in hot water in a suitable container. Then add to the bath, making sure that the water has cooled to an acceptable level.
• Soap – Take a small amount of ointment from the tub and place it under warm water. Then use it as needed when washing or showering. Pat the skin dry once used.

Are there any side effects?

There may be a skin reaction when using this ointment. This could be caused by an allergic reaction. If you notice any side effect, then you should contact a doctor as soon as possible.
